Regines Guesthouse has a total of 16 rooms plus kitchen, TV room and a silent room. We offer single rooms with or without bath and WC. Regines Guesthouse is located at Haraldsplass, 3km. from the city centre of Bergen.
History
Bergen Deaconess Foundation was founded in 1918 as an independent foundation under The Church of Norway. Regine Waage was the first directress (verstherin) of the Home from 1920-1931. She was highly instrumental in the purchase of the 11-acre Mohns farm and country estate at Haraldsplass in 1924. It is said that Sister Regine would wander up and down the avenue of limes and ask God to make it possible to build a hospital and nurses home on the estate. In 1940, the hospital and nurses home were finsihed. The nurses community, headed by the director and directress, was the driving force behind the activities here, and they managed the Home right up inntil the 1970s. Sister Regines Memorial Home was built in 1955 from donations and was a home for retired deaconesses. The architect was Per Grieg. In recent years, it has housed the Sunniva Hospice, along with a few rooms for rent, while from 2005 it has taken on a new role as Regines Guesthouse, also providing course and retreat facilities.

Practical information
Keys: May be collected from the reception at Haraldsplass hospital. The reception is closed between 10 pm and 7am. When departing, please leave the key easily accessible in your room.
Checking in and out: Rooms are ready for checking in after 1 p.m. Please check out by 11 a.m.
Cancellations: If you are unable to use the room/apartment you have booked, please let us know as soon as possible. If you have not cancelled the room you will be charged a fee of NOK 475.
Bath and WC: Where rooms do not have their own bath and WC, there is a shared bath and WC on each floor.
Kitchen: There is a large communal kitchen on the second floor.
Use of washing machine and thumble dryer: There is access to both on the 3. floor.
House rules: It is not permitted to smoke or drink alcohol in Regines Guesthouse. The street door must be locked between 3 pm - 08.30am. The lights on the stairs and corridors are always on.
Parking: In marked spaces. Charge.
Kiosk: The kiosk in the hospital reception.
Canteenon on college: Open 8.a.m.-3p.m., Mon-Fri.
Canteen og the hospital: Open 7.45 a.m.-3 p.m., Mon-Fri
Shop: Supermarket at junction by drive up to Haraldsplass about 100m from Regines Guesthouse.
Bus: number 2, 3 and 801, 50, 52 - 10 min. to the centre of Bergen.
